Feeling inspired by Jade Jones? Why not try one of our Olympic taekwondo sessions. With clubs in Cardiff, Cowbridge and Bridgend, there is no better time to sample the fastest growing martial arts in the world.
Taekwondo Cymru can offer an Olympic pathway for budding and elite athletes wishing to perform on a local, national and international platform. As members of British Taekwondo the only National Governing Body of Taekwondo in the UK, we can offer a direct route to the Great Britain Olympic set-up.
As well as a competitive avenue, Taekwondo Cymru can help you achieve your blackbelt through the British Taekwondo grading syllabus. You will receive National Governing Body recognised grades for all your hard work and our gradings are held at the National Sport Centre of Wales Sport Wales on a regular basis. Furthermore, Master Porl Stone, Vice President of the Universal Taekwondo Federation, officially sits on the blackbelt grading panel alongside Master John Webster, who conducts British Taekwondo Gradings for the UTF.
Our club is made up of all types of people including 4 year olds, parents, elite level competitors and those with special needs. We strongly believe this Olympic sport is for everyone and we endeavour to offer fair and equal training opportunities for all Welsh students.
Remember, to become a member of the club, you do not need any experience. Our friendly instructors will aid you in your taekwondo journey to help you become the best you can be. Whether that's learning to kick, losing a bit of weight of competing on an international platform, we can help you achieve your goals.
For those who come from an ITF, TAGB and kickboxing background, we are happy to offer advice on how you can put yourself, or your students, firmly on the Olympic pathway.
